Birnenkuchen mit Lavendel
Since the death of her husband, Louise has been looking after her two children Emma and Félix on her own and also runs the family pear and lavender farm in Provence. She takes care of the harvest and bakes excellent pear cakes, but still has problems servicing her loan at the bank. The economic future is bleak when Louise has a momentous encounter: She accidentally hits a stranger in front of her house: Pierre. He is tidy, extremely honest, sensitive and has lived a reclusive and solitary life until now. But he comes out of his shell whenever he spends time with Louise - and from now on he does so more often, as he is very good with figures and can therefore help the widow with her business. Pierre is pleased that he has found something of a home. Louise, however, doesn't want to let him get too close to her, as she is still suffering from the loss of her husband...
