Beata Te
Marta Pellegrino, 40, single, successful theatre director, is astonished when a strange guy who claims to be the archangel Gabriel suddenly appears in front of her. When he announces that she is going to give birth to a child, Marta laughs at him. But Gabriel doesn't let up and takes up residence with her. She has two weeks to decide whether she wants to accept the ‘gift’ or not.
An absurd, fairytale-like situation, from which director Paola Randi conjures up a comedy with charming ease, in which the sparks and punchlines just sparkle. Serena Rossi as Marta and Fabio Balsamo as the wonderfully bizarre archangel radiate a joy of acting that is immediately infectious.
