Christmas in Gotham: as snowflakes fall on the dark city, new threats emerge. The grotesque Penguin rises from the sewers in his bid for power, the seductive Catwoman seeks revenge, and Bruce Wayne must choose between duty and desire. Tim Burton’s second Batman film is darker, more complex, and visually more opulent than its predecessor.

Michael Keaton, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Danny DeVito deliver iconic performances, supported by Danny Elfman’s melancholic score. The Christmas setting contrasts sharply with the characters’ moral ambivalence—a festival of shadows that plays with ornaments and abysses.
