Vienna must not become Chicago, was an election slogan some time ago. If you listen to the stories of the Schmutzer gang from the 1960s, you can't help but get the impression: Vienna used to be Chicago. The two dignified, greying gentlemen tell frank and unrepentant tales of pimping and even shoot-outs with the police. In between, they sing Heurigen songs. Of course there has never been an underworld in Vienna!
