The one and only Drecksheimat film - a true story // Premiere + party // Welcome shots from 21:00

The story of the sisters' uprising stretches far back into the early modern era and is documented until 1659. Historians still argue about earlier mentions to this day. They all agree on one thing: even back then, they resisted men, the Inquisition and all the madness. In the late 17th century, the arbitrary excesses of violence, the defamation and lynching of women as witches slowly declined throughout Europe. With the exception of Austria, the diocese of Salzburg was a centre of witch-hunts. In 1676 alone, 97 women were denounced as witches and killed. Little Austria is still considered a land of femicides and fascism. Lungau was a particularly backward-looking region, with a diligent sadist torturing and murdering at Moosham Castle in particular towards the turn of the century. Many sisters also fell victim to him and were executed at Passeggen. After almost three centuries, our ancestral women, the dark masters, are back to free their sisters. Risen to drive Satanas Patriarchatanas from their minds and exorcise his henchmen.

Art film developed from the performance ‘Heimsuchungen’ from the uprising of the sisters on the main square in Tamsweg, Lungau (07/23)
