Astolfo

Of the various forces that rule the world, love is the strongest. Astolfo, a pensioner who no longer expects anything from life, is evicted from his flat in Rome and finds shelter in the old family home, a ruin in a small town in central Italy that was once a noble palace. He gets used to life in the provinces, gets by, quarrels with the mayor, finds an old friend, takes in a few scoundrels like him. Then he meets Stefania, a woman his age, and falls in love with her. It is the beginning of a new life, more difficult, but also more beautiful, more real, the only one worth living.
