The American-Mexican author Benjamin Alire Sáenz came to terms with his late coming out in his novel ‘Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe’, which has now become the basis for a nostalgic look at the late 1980s. Director Aitch Alberto tells a more than classic story, with a somewhat too modern view of a time when homosexuality was not yet a matter of course.
