Arco

In 2075, ten-year-old Iris sees a mysterious boy in a rainbow suit fall from the sky. It is Arco – he comes from an idyllic future in the year 2932, where time travel is possible. Iris takes him in and does everything she can to help him return home.

French director and co-writer Ugo Bienvenu sets his attractively designed animated film ARCO on two time levels between dystopia and utopia: In 2075, on an Earth ravaged by natural disasters, where many areas of life are managed by robots, 10-year-old Iris meets the eponymous hero Arco, also 10 years old, who has been transported there on a journey through time from a much more idyllic distant future. The two then attempt to get Arco back on track to return home in a series of imaginative adventures that oscillate between comedy, suspense and melodrama.
