Appointment with Death
An archaeological camp under the Palestinian sun, a family in the stranglehold of a cruel matriarch – APPOINTMENT WITH DEATH transposes Agatha Christie's murder mystery to a landscape where even the stones seem to harbour secrets. DEATH WISH director Michael Winner lends this late work a slightly morbid touch – as if the golden age of detectives had already gathered dust and turned itself into a flickering mirage.
