ANIL
Three young actresses weave together the voices of women who experienced sexual violence during the civil war in El Salvador in the form of a fable. Their portrayal goes far beyond individual testimonies: it connects the suffering of these women with the history of indigo, once the country's most important export and at the same time a symbol of colonial exploitation. The film thus unfolds a dense web of personal stories and collective memory, showing how deeply violence, power and economic interests are intertwined – and how art can open up spaces of resistance.
