Amarcord

Fellini reminisces about his youth in Rimini and draws a provincial landscape populated by simple people, oddballs and originals, into which he also incorporates the psychological and political conditions of the 1930s. The result is not an objective report, but a picture of the times transformed by invention, in which the satirist Fellini gives free rein to his imagination and his penchant for the grotesque: a visually powerful show of life that is both abysmally ugly and infinitely beautiful.
