Alpensaga III: Das große Fest
‘Defamation of the peasantry’, “communist agitation”, “disparagement of religion” - these were just some of the main charges that ALPENSAGA was confronted with - even the parliament dealt with them. In the microcosm of an Upper Austrian farming village, Berner, Turrini and Pevny negotiate topics of the 20th century that are as contemporary as they are timeless - and in doing so write television history. The third episode, DAS GROSSE FEST, is set during the First World War: most of the men have been drafted and the work falls to the women, children and the elderly. As the hardship increases, the population is called upon to donate what little they have left to the army. (red)
The Filmarchiv Austria would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate the two co-authors Peter Turrini and Wilhelm Pevny on their 80th birthdays!
