Abschied

As is often the case with Wüst, everything seems harmless at first: a woman is visited by her friend. The setup couldn’t be simpler, and yet by the end, everything is at stake once again. Long-suppressed emotions rise to the surface, and the conversation becomes a test of endurance — reflected on a formal level by an almost imperceptible zoom that seems to gradually confine the two women more and more: a tribute to Michael Snow’s WAVELENGTH.
