A Serious Man
Larry Gopnik is a serious man seeking guidance – from rabbis, from God, from physics. A SERIOUS MAN is perhaps the Coens' most personal work, a Jewish parable about meaning and meaninglessness, set in the Minneapolis of their childhood, about a man who is losing control of everything. A modern Job. Few consider the film to be one of the brothers' major works. This show does. A Coen classic about guilt, chance and divine indifference.
