A Dessert For Constance
In this television production, Sarah Maldoror uses comedic devices to debunk racist stereotypes. In 1970s Paris, street sweepers Bokolo and Mamadou are looking for money to enable a sick friend to return home. They find a cookbook in the rubbish and decide to take part in a TV show in which the best French dishes are chosen. To this end, they eagerly memorise recipes for sauces, desserts and entrees.
