The student Gbia is pregnant and wants to have an abortion. A serious offence in Romania in the 1980s. Nevertheless, she wants to go through with it. With the help of her friend Otilia, she finds the sleazy Mr Bebe, who wants to perform the abortion and shamelessly exploits the situation of the two women.

Visually minimalist, this film astounds with its intensity. In 1980s Romania, student Gabita tries to procure an illegal abortion with the help of her flatmate Otilia. Beyond the existential desire for this fundamental right, the film shows the experiences of a woman in a raw, male-dominated world in which fear is firmly and tangibly entrenched.
