23/P5: Local Heroes
"Jawoi, Oida, Action!" UNSEEN begins the way a Local Heroes film should: raw, authentic and preferably in dialect. In their debut film - without any budget, of course - the two young directors Tobias Scheichl and Pascal Khier accompany three friends freeriding in the Salzburg mountains. It's great! The ROCKY MONKEYS, as the youth group of the Salzburg Alpine Club is called, also end up in the Tennengebirge, accompanied by the director and climbing photographer Carla Nora Finkelstein. NO BOLTS takes us to Innsbruck. The two sports students Moritz Plattner and Luis Beitl climb the Risstrilogy by professional climber Markus Haid - using only mobile belay devices.
"Thank you for not being the bike industry's idea of cycling girls," comments one follower on the film TRAIL FIESTA. Four women, four bikes and zero plan is the motto of Shred Time Stories, a film and bike collective based around the city of Salzburg. It's off to the Pyrenees - for biking, travelling, hanging out and experiencing adventures. Extremely likeable, funny, full of empowerment and a spirit of optimism.
