Quentin Tarantino had actually only planned Kill Bill as one movie… But the first cut was four hours long and therefore not particularly suitable for the cinema. And so, tada, it simply became two parts.

What is KILL BILL about?
Volume I
“The Bride” was the deadliest assassin of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad, until the day she decided to leave the business, assume a new identity, and get married. But it was on the day of her marriage that her old “friends”, not to mention her boss, Bill, find her and assassinate the entire ceremony while Bill shoots her in the head. Well, Bill and his people should have tried harder because, after four years, the Bride has awakened from her coma. And Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

Volume II
VOLUME 2 is a very independent film, in which the revenge of the “bride” is driven to its logical conclusion, but which has a completely different tone to its comic-like predecessor. This time, Tarantino pays homage to the spaghetti western and film noir and – once again – brings an almost forgotten character (David Carradine) back to the big screen.
